No specific qualification is needed from the tutor. The tutor should be responsible for ensuring that all his assignments have been done correctly. The lessons are expected to be conducted in English, except when he’s dealing with any Chinese homework. Afterwards, playing and reading with him will be just fine. Tutors with a Hongkong-ish accent will not be considered. Academic excellence shall not be given extra credits.

I have been studying and living New Zealand for more than 6 years which made me speak a local Kiwi acent. As a result, speaking English during lessons would not be a problem at all.
